Specialised training for work with people with dementiaTwo dementia-specific training courses taken by Professor Faith Gibson and Margaret Graham were held in February 2007 for Homefirst Trust. On 3 May 2007 Professor Faith Gibson, Adviser to the Reminiscence Network Northern Ireland, was presented with the first Dementia Care Award during a conference at the Stormont Hotel to launch the recently-established Dementia Services Development Centre Northern Ireland. This is a new annual award which has been created by the Dementia Services Development Centre Northern Ireland and the University of Stirling.
